A historic carriage house within the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire was the central focus of the original wine shop construction. The owner also desired that the exterior design of the wine shop directly relate to its context, adjacent to a 19th century mansion.
The external massing of the new wine shop relates literally to the massing and roof line of the adjacent mansion. The interior detailing echoes the interior of the mansion with wood coffered ceilings, paneled window returns and wood trim profiles.
Etched concrete flooring was designed with inlaid patterns to relate to both the original and new construction.
